Mitt

Monday, December 24th, 2007

The Concord Monitor posted this interesting article about why NH shouldn’t vote for Mitt Romney.  The editorial hits the nail on the head, comparing his record as Massachusetts governor and his stances as a Presidential candidate.

My question is can a politition from Massachusetts win a national election? Or can a candidate for President win a national election if he or she doesn’t win in his or her own state? –>

(Portsmouth, NH) – To mark the legalization of civil unions in New Hampshire, the Unitarian Universalist Church in Portsmouth is hosting a celebration. The event, “Standing on the Side of Love,” takes place on January 1st, from noon to 3 p.m. at the church on State Street in Portsmouth. Advocates of the newly passed state law will mark the occasion with a noon-time service, pot-luck lunch, as well as information booths, and video and photograph displays highlighting the road to civil union legalization.

A Minister and a Justice of the Peace will be available on January First at the UU celebration “Standing on the Side of Love” to perform civil unions to those couples who wish to make it legal!  For more information, contact office@southchurch-uu.org - and bring your license.  Donations to South Church will be gratefully accepted.
