“It doesn’t pay to say too much when you are mad enough to choke. For the word that stings the deepest is the word that is never spoke. Let the other fellow wrangle till the storm has blown away, then he’ll do a heap of thinking about the things you didn’t say.” ~James Whitcomb Riley~

As you, I also took a few days to write a letter, as I do feel poorly for my behavior as of lately. I will not attempt to make any excuses, as there is not a suitable one to be found. I will however make some statements regarding actions that I have made. Some of them are positive some are not so positive but they are actions that are the result of my feelings, whether I should be proud of them or not, I do not know. (more…)

Rainbow Resources of NH is the information resource for the sexual minority community of New Hampshire. For nearly twenty years a small group of volunteers have kept a database of resource information for the Gay Info Line and twice printed directories for the community. In 2000, we realized we should publish this information on the internet and we needed a tax exempt umbrella organization for this work. Thus was born Rainbow Resources of NH, Inc., which, by the time you read this, will likely have been granted 501(c)(3) tax status.

Now, only two years later, our phone line is as busy as ever, and our website is queried hundreds of times a month. Plus, just this year we have set up a new website to help the GLBTQ community find businesses of interest in our Granite State. For years all kinds of businesses had asked to be included in the Gay Info Line database, but we did not have the staff to expand our listings much beyond the minimum information we thought folks really needed. Now there are no restrictions. We expect soon to have listings for hairdressers, jewelers, plumbers, computer consultants and anything else you can imagine. Although this project is still in its infancy, we expect it will become an indispensable networking aid for GLBTQ professionals and business people all over the state and the perfect place for the rest of us to find these folks.

Because we are a not-for-profit service to the queer community, listing information and access to it will always be free. Volunteers and donations are always accepted. Currently we need help updating resources and writing grants. We would appreciate new volunteers on our board, and any cash contributions. –>
